The President of Korea Singers Association Requests BTS and HYBE to consider Group Hiatus

Updated: Jun 23, 2022

The President of the Korea Music Association has released an official press statement requesting BTS to consider not going on a group hiatus because it will ‘Disturb the BTS Hallyu wave’

Lee Ja Yeon, the President of the Korea Singers Association stated, "I'm overcome by my fear and concern that the 'BTS Hallyu Wave', a movement possessing the greatest cultural power that the world has ever seen, will disappear soon. In the years leading up to the birth of this movement, it was believed that finding the 'Next Beatles ' would be a very difficult challenge, and now, we have arrived at a point where it is difficult to hope for the 'Next BTS' to emerge any time soon. Thus, there is great concern that the heartbeat of Hallyu will stop increasing."

The Kpop Mega Band BTS is yet to publish their response to this statement but the team of Pastel Jimin thinks their group hiatus won't e affected by this. They have done incredible work in K-POP for almost a decade and they deserve a good break. ARMYs were quick to respond to these statements and stand up for BTS, several trends like 'LEAVE BTS ALONE" and '#BTSItsOkayToRest' were trending topics on Twitter.

Lee Ja Yeon talked about how Korean Tourism Industry will suffer highly due to the lack of BTS, thus crushing the hope of the future of South Korea as a cultural Asian hub. Furthermore, the official release talks about how the South Korean government should review their existing military laws, which require men to serve the military with only certain exceptions, to include other popular cultures other than sports and classical music as well.

BTS said the time until now was the Chapter 1 of their career and the best moments are yet to come, they have assured ARMYs in their song "Yet To Come" that they will always come back so we can expect a lot of group activities and solo work from the members in future.
